I was very honoured that Night Bloom was judged Best In Show in the 2026 Jacaranda Art Prize and am pleased to be offering it for sale!
Judges' Notes:
"This work tells a dreamlike story, depicting a floating figure on a bed of flowers. The artist uses a considered palette to reference the Jacaranda in bloom while evoking a soft, ethereal atmosphere. There is a strong sense of confidence in both style and application, with form and figure playing against one another through abstract detailing and thoughtful shadow work."
I originally painted this work with the intention of hanging it diagonally (see gallery). I still don't know which orientation I prefer but the hanging options are adaptable to suit your space - it's good to have options!
This painting is 30cm x 30cm, varnished and ready to hang in both the conventional or diagonal orientation. Night Bloom is unframed - contact me for framing options.
